New sports hall of fame expected to include Six Nations members as inaugural inductees

By Sam Laskaris Writer Several Six Nations individuals are expected to be among the inaugural class of inductees into the North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame. This new hall of fame will be a digital one for now. It will be housed on the school website for Red Lake Nation College, a small school located in Minnesota. Dan Ninham, who is serving as the executive director for the hall of fame, said he has compiled a list of about 150 individuals and teams that he is hoping will be the initial class of inductees. Several of those will be from Canada. The hall will induct people via six categories. They are Athlete, Coach, Team, Builder, Media and Official.
