By Lynda Powless Editor The Haudenosaunee Confederacy Chiefs Council (HCCC) is seeking an apology from the Canadian government for their actions in 1924 that removed Six Nations traditional government. A letter went out to Minister Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Marc Miller March 7th. The letter was in response to a letter the HCCC received from Minister Miller seeking a meeting with the HCCC. “We got a letter from the minister in February requesting to meet with the chiefs,” Leroy Hill HCCC secretary told Turtle Island News.
