Attwood adds Welland coaching gig to his already hectic life

That’s because the Six Nations member has joined the Welland Generals’ Junior B lacrosse club where he will serve as an assistant coach. Attwood, who lives in St. Catharines, will also continue to be a coach for an Under 13 boys’ box lacrosse squad that includes his son Connor, who is 11. “I had to weigh the options,” Attwood said of the offer to join the Generals to primarily work with the club’s defensive players. “I didn’t want to miss too many of (Connor’s) games.” Attwood has been a coach with his son’s teams throughout his minor lacrosse career, starting at the Paperweight level when he was four.
