Longboat is Brock University’s lacrosse “Coach of the Year”

(Supplied Photo) By Sam Laskaris Writer Vince Longboat showed up to a banquet this past week simply expecting to see honorees who helped Brock University excel in various athletic capacities. As it turned out, Longboat, a Six Nations member, was one of those individuals recognized at Brock’s athletic banquet, held Apr. 6 in St. Catharines. Longboat captured the Coach of the Year award for a men’s team. During his first year at the helm of the men’s lacrosse squad this past fall, Longboat led the Brock Badgers to a Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) championship.
