Flashback a couple of years ago and the local men’s Senior B squad, captured the Ontario Series Lacrosse (OSL) title and then followed that up by winning the Presidents Cup, their national championship. The pandemic, however, forced the cancellation of the entire 2020 and 2021 seasons for the Rivermen and their league rivals. The Six Nations squad though kicked off its 2022 regular season this past Saturday in fine fashion. The Rivermen thumped the visiting Clearview Crushers, an OSL expansion franchise, 17-5, in a match staged at the Six Nations Sports and Cultural Memorial Centre.
