Rivermen register win against visiting Owen Sound squad to remain undefeated

Rivermen take Owen Sound in weekend win.

By Sam Laskaris Writer The Six Nations Rivermen welcomed a new face to their lineup on Saturday. And thanks in part to a five-point performance from Marshall Powless, the Rivermen were able to post a 10-8 Ontario Series Lacrosse (OSL) victory versus the visiting Owen Sound North Stars. The match was held at the Six Nations Sports and Cultural Memorial Centre. With Saturday’s victory the Rivermen improved their record to 2-0. As for the North Stars, they were participating in their first match of the season. Powless had missed Six Nations’ season opener, a 17-5 triumph versus the expansion Clearview Crushers one week earlier, as he was still competing in his first pro season with the Saskatchewan Rush, members of the National Lacrosse League.
