Brantford wants all Mohawk Institute records released

By Bree Duwyn Writer BRANTFORD-Brantford city council wants both the federal and provincial governments and Anglican Church to release all records connected with the former Mohawk Institute Residential School on Six Nations lands adjacent to the city. City Council voted unanimously at a special city council meeting Tuesday (May 17), in favour of a Notice of Motion calling for the release of all records documenting the former Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School’s operation from 1831 to 1970.
