OPP seeking public’s help in identifying young girl found in Grand River

DUNVILLE, ONT- OPP Investigators are continuing to appeal for the public’s help in identifying the remains of a young girl found in the Grand River at Dunnville last week. The remains were found May 17th, 2022. OPP said a post-mortem examination was held May 19th at the Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex in Toronto. Additional testing is scheduled. OPP are seeking information from anyone who may know of a family with a little girl, between the approximate ages of 10 and a half months and two and a half years old “who may have suddenly left town or moved away under circumstances that could not be considered suspicious.” Police said the young girl’s body had been in the water for some time.
