Rookie goalie leads Six Nations Jr. A Lacrosse club to victory

By Sam Laskaris Writer It took him a few tries but Ethan Robertson managed to win get his first junior win under his belt on Sunday. Robertson, a 17-year-old rookie goalie, led the host Six Nations Jr. A Lacrosse club to an 8-7 victory over the visiting Orangeville Northmen. The match was held at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville. With the win, the Six Nations side, which has had some early-season struggles thus far, improved its Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) record to 2-7. “As a rookie it always feels good to get your first win,” said Robertson, a 6-foot-3, 270-pounder who played at the Midget level with the Guelph Regals last year.
