AFN: loss of credibility…a banana republic

Some Indigenous advocates are claiming the current soap opera surrounding the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Chief RoseAnne Archibald is signallying a loss of credibility for the AFN. Other pundits are seeing it more’s simply put a coup launched in a banana republic AFN National Chief RoseAnne Archibald says she is being targeted for her efforts to bring accountability and transparency to the AFN. She hasn’t told us what those measures were or are but she says she was trying to implement them. She compared her suspension June 17th, with pay, for apparently revealing information, in a Chiefs of Ontario meeting, about four staff complaints waged against her calling them “fictitious attacks,”as a coup.
