Junior A lacrosse squad seeking post-season berth after weekend wins

By Sam Laskaris Writer For the first time this season the Six Nations Junior A Lacrosse club managed to win back-to-back games on the weekend. The local squad, however, will have to maintain its winning ways in the coming weeks in order to accomplish its goal of earning a playoff spot in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL). As of Tuesday, the Six Nations team, which had five regular season matches remaining, was sporting a 5-10 record and occupying ninth place in the standings of the OJLL, which features 11 entrants. The top eight finishers advance to post-season action. Six Nations was four points behind both the Peterborough Lakers and the Burlington Chiefs, who had identical 7-8 marks. Both Peterborough and Burlington had five games each left in their schedules…
