Six Nations Chiefs begin playoffs on Wednesday

By Sam Laskaris Writer The Six Nations Chiefs are hoping they can carry over their regular season successes into their playoff action which commences Wednesday night. The Chiefs finished atop the regular season standings of the four-squad Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) loop with an 8-3-1 record. Six Nations will now square off against fourth-place Cobourg Kodiaks, who compiled a 2-10-0 record. The Chiefs will host Game 1 in the best-of-seven MSL semi-final series on Wednesday. The match, which will be staged at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville, has an opening faceoff scheduled for 8 p.m. Chiefs’ head coach Duane Jacobs is hoping his charges do not take the Kodiaks lightly. “I think Cobourg has a good team,” he said. “I don’t think they’re given enough credit when they have…
