Chiefs eke out win against visiting Kodiaks in playoff opener

Staats’ offensive prowess was one of the main reasons the Six Nations Chiefs were able to edge the visiting Cobourg Kodiaks 10-9 in their Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) playoff opener. Staats racked up six goals and two assists in the contest, staged at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena (ILA) in Arena in Six Nations of the Grand River, which allowed the Chiefs to take a 1-0 lead in their league best-of-seven semi-final series.
