By Bree Duwyn Writer Four softball players joined a Six Nations Elected Council meeting on July 26 to request donations as they move onto the Canadian National Girls Softball Championship. Kolbee Vanevery, Trinity MacDonald, Cara Skye and Tess Squire, along with Tess’ father, Joe Squire, attended the meeting looking to fund the trip to the championship, which will be held in Saskatoon, Sask. from August 3-7. Out of 10 teams competing in Sask., Tess Squire and Skye play on one, while MacDonald and Vanevery represent another team, making the friends rivals for the championships.
