Woodland Cultural Centre launches new building fund

By Bree Duwyn Writer The Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford, Ont. has initiated a capital campaign for the creation of a new museum and art gallery building on site of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School. Janis Monture, executive director of the Woodland Cultural Centre, joined Six Nations Elected Council at a council meeting on Tuesday (Aug. 9) to ask for support for the creation of a new building. Currently, the two buildings onsite include the former Mohawk Institute dormitory building.
