Buffy Sainte-Marie’s touring days coming to an end

By Sam Laskaris Writer Buffy Sainte-Marie is calling it quits. The 81-year-old legendary Indigenous songwriter, musician and activist has had enough of life on the road. As a result, in an exclusive interview with The Turtle Island News, Sainte-Marie announced her current tour will in all likelihood be her last one. Her final show will be this Sunday (Sept. 18) in Vancouver. Sainte-Marie announced her intentions to stop touring during an interview from her Hawaii home promoting Buffy Sainte-Marie: Carry It On, a 90-minute documentary about her life which had its world premiere this past Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival.
