Six Nations teen receives NY university lacrosse scholarship

By Sam Laskaris Writer Blayze Becker has just started his final year of high school studies. and already knows where he’ll be spending his post-secondary days. Becker, who played for the Six Nations Rebels, a Junior B squad, during the 2022 Ontario Lacrosse Association season, has accepted a scholarship offer from St. Bonaventure University. Though he’s a Six Nations member via his grandfather, Becker, who is 17, attends Lake Shore High School in Angola, N.Y. He’ll head off to his university, located in the hamlet of St. Bonaventure, N.Y., next August. Besides suiting up for the men’s field lacrosse club, called the Bonnies, Becker also plans to study criminal justice at the school.
