Six Nations Elected Council swears in new councillor

By Bree Duwyn Writer Six Nations has a new band councillor. Councillor Greg Frazer was sworn into the 58th Six Nations Elected Council at a general council meeting on Tuesday (Sept. 13). The ceremony took place in front of SNEC and the community, both online (ZOOM) and in-person, with Duane Jacobs, director of policy, communications and records, officiating. The oath includes solemnly swearing to safeguard the community. Once the documents were signed and sealed, Councillor Frazer was officially made a councillor. “Its quite an honour to rep resent Six Nations, as everyone knows we are probably the largest and most prosperous reservation and Indian nation in Canada,” Councillor Frazer said. “Many nations look towards us as leaders and we have many issues that I think are coming forward.” He said…
