Drivers injured in holiday crash

OPP said alcohol is a factor in a crash Monday night (Oct., 10) that sent two people to a Hamilton hospital. OPP said a pickup truck and sports utility vehicle collided at the intersection of Indian Line, Townsend and Mohawk Road near Six Nations at about 8 p.m. Both drivers were transported to a Hamilton hospital after sustaining serious injuries. The driver of the pickup’s injuries are listed as life-threatening. Norfolk OPP and Six Nations Police and Six Nations emergency services responded to the scene. Six Nations firefighters had to extricate the pickup driver from their vehicle “Alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor,” police said in a media release.
