Six Nations Police arrest 2 in drug bust

OHSWEKEN, ON- An Ohsweken  couple are facing drug charges after Six Nations Police conducted a traffic stop  that resulted in a drug bust.
On Monday,  (October 24, 2022), Six Nations Police said they saw a man prohibited from driving  operating a motor vehicle. The man attend a local store on 2nd Line Road where while the man was in the store a woman in the vehicle was arrested without incident.

Police said they entered the store and safely placed the man under arrest after he had been “actively resistant”.

In a search  of the vehicle  police seized cocaine, purple fentanyl, and bundled currency. Inside the vehicle police seized additional fentanyl, a digital scale, and cell phones.

Police arrested and charged Richard Arthur Bomberry, 36.of Ohsweken with the following criminal offences:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
Proceeds of Crime under $5,000
Operation While Prohibited (21 counts)
Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest (two counts)

Police also arrested and charged Yvonne Blair Styres, 32 , of Ohsweken with the following criminal offences:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
Fail to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court

Both were held for a formal bail hearing.
