Local men’s lacrosse team invited to compete in Czech Republic tournament

By Sam Laskaris Writer The Six Nations River Rats have been accepted to take part in one of the world’s best-known club tournaments in the lacrosse world. Holden Vyse, who is the owner, coach and a player with the River Rats, said he received an email last week notifying him the local club will be participating in the 2023 Ales Hrebesky Memorial. The tournament, expected to feature 24 clubs from 15 countries, will be held April 26-29 in Czech Republic. The annual event, which traditionally attracts about 4,000 spectators to its games, is considered the most prestigious box lacrosse tournament in Europe.
