Hockey Indigenous co-founder named recipient of trailblazing award

By Sam Laskaris Writer Stephane Friday has been rewarded for his passion of promoting Indigenous hockey players. Friday, a member of Kashechewan First Nation in northern Ontario, is the co-founder and CEO of Hockey Indigenous. He incorporated the non-profit organization in December of 2020 to promote Indigenous hockey players throughout North America. Prior to that, he had run Hockey Indigenous as a social media blog for four years.
