Six Nations athletes excelled on many fronts in 2022

And, as usual, Six Nations members had their share of athletic glory at the local, provincial, national and even international levels during the past 12 months. In last week’s print edition (Dec. 21) of The Turtle Island News, we began a two-part series, taking a closer look at some of the local athletes and sporting events that made headlines during the past year. Those featured last week were figure skater Nathan Lickers, golfers Mason General and Sandy Porter, hockey player Shaun General, the Arena Lacrosse League champion Six Nations Snipers and the Indigenous Ontario Golf Championship.
