The Six Nations Senior Relief Fund will see a boost in funding and advertising this year. The Six Nation Elected Council (SNEC) voted unanimously to allocate an additional $100,000 to the Six Nations Senior Relief Fund at the General Finance meeting on March 6, despite staff asking for a total of $60,000. Elected Chief Mark Hill said SNEC can make any changes to the program they wish because it’s run by the administration and the funds do not come from the federal or provincial governments. “This is entirely our program and initiative.
