Toronto Rock holds Indigenous Heritage night

The 19-year-old is one of the star players for the Ohsweken Bears, who compete in the Women’s Arena Lacrosse League (WALL). Though the Bears play in front of small crowds, Chrisjohn found herself showcasing her skills in front of more than 8,000 fans on Saturday. That’s because she was among the 10 WALL players selected to participate in a halftime performance during the Toronto Rock’s Indigenous Heritage Night. The match was held at the Rock’s current home facility, FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton. “It makes me feel proud and good about myself, being chosen and being asked for my talent,” Chrisjohn said.
