Brant County Head-On Crash Sends Two To Hospital

BRANT COUNTY, ONT-  Brant County Ontario Provincial Plice (OPP) are continuing to investigate a head-on collision that occurred Saturday, April 1, 2023, at approximately 3:15 p.m.  that sent two, to hospital, after Brant County OPP, Brant County Fire Department and Paramedic Services responded to the head-on collision on Colborne Street East.

OPP said the investigation has shown  a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and motor vehicle collided head-on at a Colborne Street East address.  As a result, the driver of the SUV and motor vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries. OPP said alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor.

OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team wre called in.  Colborne Street East was closed between Brant School Road and Shaver Street.

The OPP is continuing to investigate and is asking residents and businesses in the area with video surveillance systems to check their footage to see if the captured this incident. The motoring public who has dash camera footage is also being asked to check their footage and to contact police.

Charges have not been released.
