OHSWEKEN, SIX NATIONS OF THE GRAND-Six Nations Police are investigating a single vehicle accident that sent a man to hospital in critical, but stable condition, Saturday (April 8, 2023) morning.
Six Nations Police and the Six Nations Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the single vehicle collision on Fifth Line Road at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a single vehicle roll over that saw a man ejected from the vehicle.
Police said no other occupants were believed to be involved.
Upon arrival on Fifth Line police found a Sports Utility Vehicle north of the roadway on its roof. Police said the vehicle appeared to have been travelling eastbound on Fifth Line Road, travelling at a high rate of speed when it entered the bends in the roadway, struck the shoulder of the road and a culvert.
Police said the occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital in critical but stable condition. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
