Lacquette continues support for Second Assist program

By Sam Laskaris Writer Being an elite hockey player Brigette Lacquette is rather familiar with the importance of assists. That’s why Lacquette, the first First Nations player to suit up for the Canadian national women’s hockey team, was eager to become a part of the Kruger Second Assist program. Lacquette signed on last year to be an ambassador for the program, run by Kruger Products, the country’s leading manufacturer of tissue products for household, industrial and commercial use. Now in its second year, the Kruger Second Assist program awarded $25,000 each to six minor hockey associations across the country earlier in 2023.
