SN Councillor Helen Miller speaks out on dumping

Six Nations has a dumping problem. After years of Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council (SNGREC) preaching about the perils of letting other people dump garbage and waste on the reserve, people are still not listening. We know if a developer or an individual contractor offers to pay big bucks to dump garbage and waste at Six Nations, it’s because they’re dodging provincial environment laws. Six Nations has no environment laws which makes us an easy target. And it angers me that people are making these shady dumping deals just to line their pockets. There are a lot of dump sites here.
