Six Nations doesn’t know what to do when it comes to questions about immigration. Councillor Helen Miller, chair of the Lands and Membership committee said the office manager is fielding calls from people wanting to immigrate to Canada, and those wanting to leave, but staff don’t know. “Lands and Membership is not mandated to deal with immigration. They don’t know the answers to the question or know what they’re supposed to do,” Miller said.
