</html><description>By Emily Bowen, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, Mildmay Town Crier GREY-BRUCE &#x2013; Students across Grey-Bruce marked the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30 by wearing orange, learning about Indigenous history and culture, and taking part in activities intended to keep the work of reconciliation going beyond a single day. The day is a time to remember the children who never returned home from residential schools, honour Survivors and recognize the ongoing effects of the residential school system on Indigenous people, families and communities.
