Antonacci, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, The Hamilton Spectator Organizers opted for a throwback to celebrate Hagersville\u2019s 150th birthday. Ag Day \u00a0\u2014 a beloved agriculture-themed festival held annually in the rural \u00a0Haldimand County town in the 1980s and \u201990s \u2014 returns on June 6 as the \u00a0centrepiece of Hagersville\u2019s sesquicentennial celebration. In \u00a0its heyday, Ag Day attracted thousands looking to learn about farming \u00a0in a fun way. Last year, with residents anticipating the milestone \u00a0anniversary and pining for Ag Day\u2019s return, chamber of commerce members \u00a0Nancy Snyder and Lisa Mattice volunteered to lead the charge. \u201cOur vision from the start was this was a community-based, free, interactive event, with agriculture and history,\u201d Snyder said.
