A \u00a0public meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 13 at council \u00a0chambers in Cayuga to discuss a proposal from Corragreen Properties \u00a0Limited for a \u201cplanned community\u201d in the northeast end of town. Corragreen\u2019s \u00a0project would turn just under 200 acres (80 hectares) of farmland into \u00a0nearly 2,500 homes, plus about 2,000 square metres of retail space and a \u00a0series of parks. The development is proposed for \u00a0two adjoining properties within Caledonia\u2019s urban boundary at McClung \u00a0Road and Haldimand Road 66. Haldimand \u00a0council would need to rezone the agricultural land to permit \u00a0residential and commercial uses before the developer can… <\/p>\n
