Over 50 Six Nations community members attended the July 20th Six Nations Lands and Resources (SNLR) engagement session on a proposed Birkett Lane development to be built on unceded Six Nations lands in Brantford. Six Nations band member Starla Myers questioned why the development was going forward. \u201cHere we are again, entertaining people who are not from here, they have no connections to the land,\u201d Myers said during a passionate plea. \u201cThey don\u2019t care about who we are, or what we want to do to the land.
