A key and dedicated member of ONA\u2019s wellness team, nkwancinem was honoured by her colleagues in her home community of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. She was one of four syilx Nation members to have had their lifelong achievements and contributions to the community celebrated at the ONA\u2019s 2026 annual general assembly, which took place July 22 and 23 in sm\u0259qm\u00edx homelands. As the mental health lead for the Okanagan Nation Response Team, nkwancinem oversees a group of \u201ccommunity members who have received extensive training in the areas of suicide… <\/p>\n
