Mayor, city councillors, police department members, public service representatives, and Indigenous neighbours gathered to celebrate the milestone. \u201cToday is about more than the installation of two welcome posts. It’s about recognizing the history, the culture and the endearing presence of the Coast Salish peoples on these lands,\u201d said Taylor Baker, TFN\u2019S executive councillor on behalf of chief and council. \u201cIt is about acknowledging that our stories, our teachings and connections to this territory did not begin with the creation of these municipal boundaries and will continue into the future.\u201d For… <\/p>\n
