Robert Mark Chislett, Chairman of St. Andrews Airport Inc., said the proposal remains in the early planning stages and is being considered as part of a broader strategic plan for the airport. \u201cWe\u2019re at the very early stages,\u201d Chislett said. \u201cThe strategic plan will help guide us going forward.\u201d The airport&#8217;s existing primary runway is about 3,000 feet long and 75 feet wide. Chislett said some airport tenants have asked whether it could be expanded to about 4,500 feet long and 100 feet wide.
