In an interview with SaskToday, McPhail and the NDP highlighted figures showing unemployment in La Loche stood at 13.5 per cent in July 2026, while La Ronge recorded an unemployment rate of 9.7 per cent. The data also showed employment declined by 660 positions in La Ronge and 40 positions in La Loche compared with the previous year. In Prince Albert, employment fell by 500 jobs year over year, while unemployment reached 7.9 per cent. The figures cited by the NDP were sourced from… <\/p>\n
