By Fern Marmont, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, The Eastern Door The Tekontateri\u00e9ntare Multigenerational Center for Women\u2019s Wellness hosted its second moon teaching sleepover for its girls\u2019 mentorship program, this time welcoming an older group to explore sexual health and childbirth in greater depth. The two-day gathering, held from October 23 to 24, combined the fun of a slumber party with frank conversations about relationships, contraception, pregnancy and the importance of women supporting women. \u201cYes, we\u2019re their teachers in a sense, but we\u2019re really like their aunties, and they feel comfortable with us,\u201d said Patricia Gabriel, a community birth keeper at the Kanesatake Health Center (KHC).
