The red scarves were hung from trees, bushes and benches all aimed at raising awareness of HIV\/AIDS. Each scarf was either hand-knitted or crocheted by Six Nations community members and featured a small tag with statistics on AIDS and links to resources about the disease. Scarves are hung to imitate the double red ribbon which is the international symbol of AIDs awareness. This year the Dajoh Knitters Group, who began knitting in July knitted 188 scarves.
