For starters, Martin, a Six Nations member who is a rookie player with the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) helped his squad to a victory. Martin and his Rock teammates downed the visiting Vancouver Warriors 9-5. The match was held at the Rock\u2019s home facility, FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton. The contest marked the Rock\u2019s annual Indigenous Heritage Night. \u201cIt was very special,\u201d Martin said. \u201cBeing Indigenous, it means a lot to me and my community and for all Indigenous people.
