The ruling by justice Lisa Brownstone forces Kahnawake to choose between capitulating to Ontario\u2019s demand for hefty levies \u2013 a violation of Kahnawake\u2019s jurisdiction over gaming, the MCK has argued \u2013 or to be left out of Canada\u2019s biggest betting market altogether. \u201cAs far as having to pay a provincial government some type of fee, it\u2019s out of the question,\u201d said MCK chief Cody Diabo, who is tasked with the gaming file. \u201cIt really puts us into a difficult situation for us to be operating.
