She is the first indigenous person to win the competition. During her rise to the top of the competition\u2019s third season, Strong was given a Golden Buzzer which meant a $25,000 award and a ticket straight to the semi-finals. Last Tuesday night, Strong, whose father is from Maryfield, amazed judges and voters across Canada with her simply epic performance of Adele\u2019s \u2018Rolling in the Deep.\u2019 \u201cThank you, Rogers, and thank you to everyone who voted for me.
