Last Wednesday (June 26), the last remaining trees on the front yard of CNHS were bull dozed down and removed and the tall grass cleared, creating a muddy field view from the house to Highway 54. Some of the plants on the property were removed and moved down the street to Kayanase. Any remaining plants were ground up and the grounds cleared of waste. A plaque designating the site as a National Historic Site sits on the grounds.
