Ralph Stephens, who was 27 at the time of his death, was fatally shot by an RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) officer Jan. 7, 2017, on a rural property in M\u00een\u00ee Thn\u00ee. RCMP, the agency\u2019s Major Crimes Unit and ERT members arrived at the residence to arrest Stephens, his brother John Stephens, and Deangelo Powderface, as suspects in the killing of Lorenzo \u201cBilly\u201d Bearspaw.
