Each year from 2021 to 2023 had more deaths from opioid overdoses than 2020. Eve Kahama, manager of the Harm Reduction Action Outreach Program explained the increased presence of fentanyl in other drugs has made overdosing much more common. \u201cIt\u2019s pretty high here, but the same thing is echoed everywhere,\u201d she said. \u201cEspecially with the toxic drug crisis that we have now, people are seeing fentanyl in their crystal meth, people are seeing fentanyl in their opioids.
