Six Nations Community members want a crosswalk near JC Hill Elementary School, and they want it done quickly. Councillor Alaina Van Every brought the request to Six Nations Elected Council\u2019s (SNEC) General Council meeting on September 24 to let councillors and community members know she would take the matter to the Built Environment Committee and get the situation resolved as soon as possible. \u201cSome said it was a federal responsibility to put in a school crosswalk, other people said it\u2019s our own responsibility to take care of our own children and it\u2019s this government\u2019s responsibility,\u201d she said.
