The Kiiwetinoong NDP\u2019s nomination meeting was held Monday evening via Zoom. \u201cIt\u2019s certainly an honour to be asked again to represent the people in Kiiwetinoong,\u201d Mamakwa said Tuesday in a phone interview from Toronto. Mamakwa said he brings \u201ca unique understanding\u201d to Queen\u2019s Park as the legislature\u2019s only First Nations member. While considering himself \u201calways First Nations first,\u201d he said, the NDP is a good fit for him. \u201cThey fit the beliefs that I have.\u201d There were no other candidates for the nomination.
