Whenever he finishes a new carving, painted box, or ceremonial mask, he often feels pride and happiness. He hopes it brings similar feelings for others in his nation. \u201cI imagine it could spur many emotions, really,\u201d he tells IndigiNews in an interview. \u201cWe live in a small community where there can be a lot of grief. You know, there\u2019s always loss in our community \u2014 but there\u2019s also life and smiles and happiness. And we\u2019ve got to let that win.\u201d The 62-year old Haida artist… <\/p>\n
