From helping her mom, Faye Heavy Shield, install pieces in galleries to learning a craft by her side, Hali\u2019s artistic journey has always been closely tied to her mother\u2019s. \u201cShe would have piles of grass working on a sculpture or we\u2019d be baking, or I remember the smell of paint quite often when she’d be working on a project \u2013 things like making paper dolls,\u201d said Hali.
